Marty has over 40 years' experience as trial and appellate counsel, having tried hundreds of cases across Ontario. He is a former Partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.

As counsel he handled complex and multi-party disputes involving class actions, banking, insolvency, fraud, employment, estates, real estate, environmental claims, defamation, partnerships, shareholder issues, and other business disputes.

He appeared before all levels of courts in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and before regulatory, administrative, and arbitral tribunals.
